Agriculture officials have started enforcing the suggested retail price or SRP of 250 pesos per kilogram for red onions.<br /><br />The DA says some wet markets have lowered prices to 400 pesos from over 700 pesos per kilogram in Metro Manila.<br /><br />But as Currie Cator reports other vendors and consumers have yet to feel the lower costs.
